change hg to db mode ?

i wanted to run a diff hg with sql files but looks like hg must be in db mode or something ?
what needs to be changed in hg so it can connect to the sql db ?

duh...if you are using the sql files in the download section then you have to set them up correctly and setup a db for them to connect to ...blah blah blah....anyone wanna elaborate on that cause i cannot be bothered..!!

um maybe u dont remember but i already did that setup for sql files ..
i only had the problem to connect to the chinese hg ... well somehow i got to start it a diff way ... normally i start like this : gate -> ml -> wl -> hg -> home in ml+wl !
well for the sql files that didnt work till i started like this : hgs -> gate -> ml(home) -> wl (home) !
some hgs still have problems to connect but at least it starts and i can connect ...
but now i wanna use diff hg cause no sources for that chinese one :S

so is there any hg source out there where u can swith between db and txt modes ?
or anyone knows what to change so it works in db mode ?

u need change some things from txt mode like loging saving items etc. to db mode and create tables etc. (i can help u but dont have time and u need to catch me

#define DEF_DBMODE i think in the 2.20 hg. the 2.03 build doesn't have it.

if you are useing the real china exe 3.51 yes you can get it to run in sql mode for the ws1 the main log is alot harder to get it into sql mode.

But the china HG does work.

I think the reason you are having trouble with starting the HG is the sub socket. as all siemen files was made with lag in mind and running them of diff serevrs, not how most people with private server only run the full game on one server.
there is a way round to fix the sub socket error within the exe but you have to know ASM to do this. its only one line in the code that needs changing.

But i would need to know the files you are useing to help any more then that.
are you useing the full set of real exe or just some of them are you useing MSSQL etc.

@sexybitch that problem only appeared with the china hg server ... when i use sources i can start the hg normal without problems !
and im not planning to use that china hg since nothing can be coded there ...

is the 2.20 hg the latest one which supports db mode ?
cause in that hg there wasnt the lupool integrated

LU_Point was added with their new level system which was around 2.95-3.0? I forget exactly when. Either way, you have to code it in yourself but yes, 2.20 has DBMODE in it.
