Gate Socket keeps counting...

Yo when i try to put up my own server everything connect fine all good, but the problem is when i open hgserver.exe the other 10 sokects get connected but it says Gate-Socket connecting and keeps counting and the map wont get up -.-" how i fix it?

DO you have a firewall, and/or router?

im running on win xp with sp2 but i took the firewall off and i got router but i configured it in order so i can host (i'm sure i configured it the right way cause i can host all other things just hb give me troubles).
Actually the hgserver says Gate server socket crashed then keeps counting

Some server files are bitchy, try others, maybe it works then. Had it too once

on my old computer when i hosted my very old helbreath server with the 2.19 files... i got that problem at times... what i did was...i rebooted my comp and made sure no other useless programs were running... i also checked for viruses... if it still didn't work i wiped my harddrive and started a new because this was just an extra comp i had lying around... then ikt worked.... so i dunno what you wanna do... if dling different types doesn't work...

Cause ur using the HG that tyte. released. and anyways dude, you don't need all the files.

You need ur gate, ur gserver, the mapdata of the map you wanna up, ur setting.cfg and 1 or 2 other files which I can't remember on top of my head.

Oh btw... if you can't connect stocket 10-9, in most case, the map is already up or they blocked connection by another HG.

is the Gate-socket that keeps connecting, and before that it says critrical error gate socket crashed and yes i using the hg from the hax download section >.<

don't use the hg from the hax download section... compile your own with the source released...

lol... newbs are always a good laf. They think hbss.tk is the shit cause they got some unpacked and editable HG and a couple server files.

How hard is it to unpack a HG, like tyte said, if you have ANY basic knowledge, you compile ur own.

oh and btw noel... you ain't trying to host a server with dave's HG, ur trying to host a map for a server, so that you can max urself.
And IF you are trying to host a server using dave's HG, then ur just a fucking moron. Anyone can type in /makegm and boom... they are GM. Thats just fucking dumb
