closing ports

i need to learn how to close ports so i dont get hacked and trojaned
can some one tell me how to do it
im a noob hacking and i REALLY need to know that

get a software firewall and tell it to block the ports you want to block

settle down.

Just goto google and download a simple software firewall and run it on your machine, in the gui of the firewall it will have information on closing ports and in the help file for the program it should have a howto close ports.

Or use my favourite web tool, Google.
