Anti-crash hack

I've read that you've said that using the crash hack can get kinda lame, and it most certainly has on my server. It started sunday night during the superbowl and they made at least 20 characters to crash us and crashed us at least 20 times. This has caused item duping, exp loss, and general unrest. I would really like to know how to fix this.

find a new port for gserver :rolleyes: and protect it....or just protect the one u have atm

How do I protect a port? Right now I'm running norton firewall and that obviously isn't good enough. Sorry I'm a newbie at this, but I really need to fix this. =/
