Speaking of dems and repubs. I've got a brother who thinks he's Democrat just because John Kerry was. He doesn't know half of what the political system is or how everything works but damn if he could vote he'd vote Democrat just because he likes Kerry. Would you rather have dumbasses voting blindly, or just let the people who know what they're doing vote and leave the ones who don't want to alone? It'd be better to not vote than to vote blindly. Force me to vote and I'll just punch all the holes on the ballot out just to piss people off. No matter who's president of the country, they can't fuck it up quickly enough before they get kicked out of office in which someone else takes up their term and fixes it. As Bush relinquishes his command in 2008, someone else will pick up and fix the fuckups he made. Who really gives a shit. You can think what you want about me, or how I think, I really don't care. The USA gives you the right to choice and it's my damn right and choice to not vote.
And tester, being forced to vote is not a good thing. That's just one freedom less that you have. It's called the Freedom to vote if you damn well please to or not. You may look at it differently, but any way you look at it that's one thing your forced to do by law instead of having the right to do it. If you tried to build the perfect civilization based on being forced to do things, would you want to live there even if it was perfect? You're forced to work EVERY day, forced to go to school EVERY day, forced to vote on ALL occasions, forced to do this, to do that. Sounds like a great place to me.
