Linux Support

With the release of the Helbreath Source code in 2005, many players have ported the game code from Windows to Linux.

Using Linux many servers have emulated the game to run under a 3D Source Engine.

it doesnt run under wine as a base package, maybe with some tweaking or work with it to allow directx to run right it might. only way i could see it running under linux without alot of code re-writing is through vmware =/

however if we could get the client to run using opengl instead of directx it would be alot easier to let the client run nativly w/o an emulator.

i dont have an extra nix box laying around that i can use dedi, but my laptop dual boot would be fine for client usage but not server so i havnt looked into the server porting at all.

if you use Fedora Core 5 and Wine then Helbreath client runs fine under linux... not familiar with other Linuxes...

btw... if client.exe is packed with armadillo.. then it may not run...
