Nova2 Development Group is looking for hobby developers of HB files to work with N2 staff in the development phase of files. As it currently stands I am the only developer of these files. I'm not interested in people after an admin or posing for long enough to level their normal characters. If you have legit skills in C++ and would like to work on a project involving the building of 2.20 files please contact me via MSN on daxation@marijuana.com. Any files produced will not be for public release, insted they will be put towards the production of N2. Cheers

But that was a nice base. . .
I guess many people around fixed and improved a lot those sources.

Of course every one has his own idea over the developpement, and a different way of playing HB, so all those project are growing different directions...

Now, the chalenge for all of us, is to improve v2.20 client sources, and as we almost all have invested a lot of time in v3.51 developpement, it's not really possible to retrograde player's clients to v2.20-like.
So we need to upgrade the v2.20 client sources to v3.51 level more or less...
This is a huge task, as many of us work alone. . .

There things easy to add, to v2.20 sources, but some big parts are missing, ie Multi-Trade, Lvl-up stats, auras, Apocalypse, Heldenian.......

Auras, LU-Pool are easy, I havnt tried multi trade yet. And apoc + held are pointless, if you're going to go to that much effort for new events you may aswell add your own aspects into them. Make them more fun.

Of course I programmed this server side, my own way for few reasons:
- Siementec don't care HB much, there lots of unfinished things, and no backup
(ie: See as the Crusade event is well implemented ( look screens windows comments, helps, victory msg.... in comparison to Heldenian! )
- Those evens were suposed to be played with thousands, and private servers are more often dozens...
- I stopped playing Official server before those events appeared so I've little clue about them, outside theorical descriptions. (ie: how is computed Heldenian contribution/xp ?)
- I added so much new things to HB that some things had to be adapted... (ie, wr have many high level priests with 90 charisma, so others would be obsolete with a single summon, turning Heldenian to a simple PvP event )

Anyways, as many of us use v3.51 client or some similar version, it could prove usefull to grow sources to near-3.51 compatibility. After that,it would be realy easy to add "personal" things...

Auras, LU-Pool are easy

I think, you're right, even if it's not so simple for everybody, but it remain in what can be done, but... thats really time-consuming... for a loner who continue play, code server, maybe host and have a real life !

Programming and Web Developmemt teams are now sufficient. Only skills we require is Graphics and Writers.
