Q: Increasing Fps
Is it possible?
I tried with speeder xp today and depending on the ammount of speed i put on it - it will crash in a lil while. I thought i'd keep it at 300 (max is 10 000) but it crashed even with that.
So - my question is : Is it possible to change the max FPS or something ?
I know this worked on 3.2
Seems that it doesn't on 3.51.
Help, anyone?

You get booted if you skip tiles, but just walking faster should only make you show up at speeds logs (Like my AMD64 get's detected as a speedhack, great fine-tuning on that..)

People say HB has an FPS limit so maby It'd be possible to edit the limit or something?
Because if i put the speed to 20 000 it dcs in a nanosecond when i log in. If i set it at 250 it takes like 1 min.
lol.. You disconnect because you're not increasing framerate, you're boosting the speed of the entire program's operation meaning it sends messages faster as the ingame timer is also sped up. The server detects that and closes your connection. This is a rather stupid way to "increase" fps as it's only causing the client to think it's going through functions faster, and not REALLY doing it. Want to REALLY increase fps? Get a better processor. Since HB is fully 2d, getting a better video card won't help. I get about 140-150 FPS on an AMD sempron 3000+.NiTro wrote:Umm I tried minimum changes and it still dc's..NeukenInDeKeuken wrote: You get booted if you skip tiles, but just walking faster should only make you show up at speeds logs (Like my AMD64 get's detected as a speedhack, great fine-tuning on that..)

Meet my old computer. Pentium 1 166mhz, 32mb of ram running win98. Ran Helbreath with minimal problems (first started HBInt on it).. Was in farm with over 30-40 people, 10 casting spells at once, and only then did it actually lag. (other than the normal slow comp lag). HB is a 2d game. Doesn't take much power to project 2d images (just pictures) onto the screen.NiTro wrote:Well it's time for you to meet my shitty computer - 300 mhz, 96 ram.binarydata wrote: hb is shit program

You sure it works fine on every shittiest computer?

I didn't notice it either until i started ek'ing. I run about 2 times slower than other people. The same thing with casting. While someone casts cancel - & i cast amp - he/she can cast esw fast enough to kill me without me being able to amp myself (although i started casting first).
If there's an easier answer to this than hacking then please do share it with me.
Details low, music off doesn't do the trick.
Ty.
Try running it in windows 98/ME mode. Anyway, slow CPUs instead run slower.NiTro wrote:Well, maby when you started you didn't pay attention to your speed etc.bone-you wrote:Meet my old computer.
