HG Server Request

Hey Guys,

I have a server running already, based on the files last released by SlammeR. The only problem is the guild function doesn't work. If this is a problem with the files would someone be able to code it so that the guild function works and also I would like /who to be used by normal characters. If someone could do this it would be great

so recap:

HG Server with the features of SlammeR's last release (Apoc, Heldenian, Angels, etc [3.82]);

- /who function to work with all characters
- Guilds working with no requirements other than 20chr & Level 20

apoc an held are to big to add in

an about this guild stuff what sint wokring u sure ti hg side not client ned more detales u ahve a src that u use aready that needs to be fixed if so upload

if not when i ahev tiem ill do this but im bissy for abotu a week or so

Yeah the guild could be something wrong with something else and not the actual source itself I'm not sure but it's not letting me create any guilds it just keeps saying that guild already exists...

Apocalypse and Heldenian were released by snoopy and are working. You just have to mess a little with his snippets to get it working well.

For the /who funtion working over all servers, you will have to code something, else the HG servers won't be able to read the list of connected players on the other HGs.

And to finish, i didn't understand what's not working with the guilds ? Are you talking about the crusade functions ?

Guild's arent creating, and I have the /who function working, I'm not using sources because coding everything into a current source would take too long for me to do. I'm using SlammeRs released HG. Apoc, Heldenian,etc are all working at the moment..

But yeah guild's aren't creating.. Perhaps i'm missing some files or something?

lol i have apoc an held working 100% in my files just ant adding it for opthers cuz its to big

same with crafting

It would be easier to have basic files that you use to create peoples HG with all the core functions in it. Then you'd only have to add their personnal features in it.

Just post it on here...cus there will always be someone else who needs this...i will PM you the ip for it if corey hasn't already as im helping with it but why are you making it so that the IP has to be in before you compile may i ask?

A suggestion for this Guild problem.

Way back when I ran 2.20 I had this problem.

Not sure but all I did was make a folder called Guilds in your Main folder of your server files.

If that still doesn't work try adding some ASCII 1-255 into it.

Just a suggestion. Might work because it did for me WAY WAY back in 2.20.

Ok im giving it a go at the moment...but i believe somewhere Slammer said that he had made the guild function specific for his files and adapted it to his server?

will let you know how it goes

Yea no difference...still cannot create guilds

try to take guilds complety out then readd with working guild srces.

aslo world server controles saving guilds part hg sends it to world then worlds make the file.

idk when ill have free time latly an im leaven hb but ill still help when i have time if someone hasnt help u yet ill hlep yea out

Slammer only released an exe...we dont have the src for the server we are using that is our problem

we cant fix any bugs like that we find.

I just looked over Slammers post and guilds are working you just needed 1 mil gold and lvl 100.

We can live with this but if any1 feels like posting it would be great

and yea i think those were the only things that we wanted changed that we couldnt do with .cfg's ( we tried to set /who to 0 admin level but no success)

And on another note - If slammer comes across this and would consider sharing his src's with us send a PM to either me or Kenshi - Kenshi is a mod on the forums and neither of us would publically release them to the nooberts out there - we just trying to run a LAN server at our uni
