It got offtopic after you started talking about direct connections having separate internal ips and how you couldn't get it to work. Maybe because it doesn't exist? Unless you can show us EVERYTHING WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR NETWORK, don't fucking ask for help about it and shove it up your ass.

i've worked with networks that have routers, that have dial-up, that have no router but a cable modem, and so on and so forth. i can tell you that you don't have an internal ip with a cable modem as it's not needed. the address he is assuming is his internal is his MAC address it allows you to connect through one another via cable/wireless connections. that address is in turn known to be internal but not so. i've also worked with wireless networks too, routers.

Could it be a bluetooth connection? I know I can connect to my Cellphone through my computer using bluetooth. I tried to work with a guy who had that similar setup that I've got now. ADD told him to fuck off because he wouldn't remove the IP. It kept binding to the bluetooth ip, or w/e he was using.

cable modem -> a network cable from the modem to his computer's network card.
computer -> a nice core 2 duo computer.

no router,no nothing.

his modem isn't a router,
it's just a simple Cable Modem,i think that if we would like to get a router from our ISP they would ask for more money (unless if you buy a router by yourself without them to know)
one cable to the cable hole in the wall
on to the electricity
and one to the computer.
not more than that.

the connection is the Barak013_L2TP
and the network card is the Local Area Connection,
the Barak's ip is my external (i even wrote that on the picture)
and the Local Area Connection's ip is internal
now he don't have a router,but still if i shutdown the Local Area Connection the internet (Barak) goes with it.

to tester: router* instead of modem.
edit:about the cable modem,that means that a cable is going out from the modem to his computer.
not that a cable modem is just a cable.
