Latest HG Sources wasting too much RAM?

Yeah, comparing to a 2.20 HG I ve seen that as more as "new" releases shows up the HG compiled takes more and more RAM out of your computer while running the server...

I think I saw a post of either Cleroth or Dax about saying something like crappy code of stech and blah blah, though I'm speaking about the community releases.

Anyways point of the topic is to see if anyone thought of any ideas to make HG run slowly on RAM, besides "do not add lot of crap to it or crappy codes" and the "multi threating" I was told of...wich sounded great but a lil problematic.

well loco the way to make it run slower on ram prity much u gotta code the hg all over and make fuction go 1 after 1 not some with 4 things do it at 1 time thats means meaga on ram cuz its doing it all at oucne then 1 at a time. get whats im saying. pirty much takes soem time to do it all :P im working on doing it to my hg its doing faster and faster :) re codeing litle pice of thing changes alot :)

aslo make it not save things in txt unless it needs why dose it need to be save in txt when soem one log or somthing u dont realy need soem of it it make its slower cuz of saveing and saving and such

refine and optimise, take your item configs, make them go from 1 - max, set max items in hg to say the max number say +10 incase you add some more testing items and then there isnt the large gaps in item id numbers up to the default 3000, do the same for users figure out how many npcs you have max based on you map configs... the list goes on. aside from the fact that it is a 1mb sized executable just remember all of the data it needs to lead and initalize, and how its stored, there are many large datasets that go mainly unused.

6-7 HGServers can take off 50-70% of a 512 DDR RAM :)

lol why thsi needs hahahah u got a shti laod of comsp to add tahst to lol most coems can take up to 4 1.5gb rams chips :P beside alian ware wich gots tehre 4gb rams chipcs :)

I prefeer using more RAM in some places. Just think about iCalculateAttack...(..).
This functions is executed very often, and some values are computed every time, even if they really change only when equiping some piece of armor.

I guess HB will be faster if I create a new client class value to store that, and compute at iCalcTotalItemEffect instead of iCalculateAttack.......

I have over 50 pc's i'm building atm, and I have a server soon to have a 100mbit and will host 5-10 servers. Ragnarok Online and Helbreath, possibly a Lineage 2 server not quite sure. My server holds close to 16gb ram, I bought it from some computer store for 500$ with 512mb ram and no processors just the tower the HD's which total to be 1.5TB space and DVD driver for back ups... and mobo.
