idea how to host with changed ip

Hmm im thinking about way to host with changed ip and dont change client every ip reset coz its crap and i found something like that -> <a href='http://www.dynip.com/' target='_blank'>http://www.dynip.com/</a> make domain on his page and u download client (put password, login of ur domain) then u can use domain to put ur ip in files but its something to re/code in client i think coz when i try it i get comp fucked up and need reset coz cant do anything ctrl alt del didnt work also. Maybe someone can make something with that and i hope it will be useful for all. There are lots of ppl who can do it and i hope they do it and submit code for all it will be way for more great servers.

.. or use PatchIP launcher.

Hoster puts a small text file on a fixed URL on the net.
Player runs PatchIP, PatchIP fetches the text on the stated place. Of course the text contains current IP.
PatchIP patches the client then run it.

That's working since sept 2003 on HB-Chey, Revival1 Revival2 and from Nov 2004 on Equilibrium Project.

But it will decrease client security

yeh thats true but better have no hoster than like 100+ trying to hack server with noob hax and lame think "im gosu i hack server" it isnt true coz he only put port and ip of server then script do rest heeh :blink:

you want what i do, register a hostname with dyndns.org, put that as the ip in the client, my router automatically updates the ip with the nameserver when it gets a new ip, as rare and spread apart as it is.
