Adding Existing Chars To Any Account

After a lot of hazzle and mind breaking thoughts, I'm finally able to attach ANY character to my account. So for example, I managed to add "GM1" character in HB Dream (that was up, so...), and I succesfully see the level, experience and appr (looks) in the character screen.

However, I cannot login with the character. That's obvious, since I forgot about 1 little thing. In the character data (not account data), the account name is saved (account-name = xxx).
I need ideas in how to change this account name in the character files.

Adding characters to the account file is no problem. Just that one line in the character file is stopping me from being able to log into any character I want.
Oh, btw.. the same goes for deleting characters. I cannot delete the characters I attached to my account... so that is checked in the character file too I think.

Any ideas?

The same way you overwrite stuff with the modded HG hack? (I assume jamie didn't make it himself , atleast not 100%)

If the "HGServer"-hack works on a server, then I can directly modify any character on my account - so there would be no need to steal other characters.

Nowadays, most servers are HGServer-hack-proof.
I can attach any character to my account, even if a server is hgserver-hack-proof.

So; unfortunately the option to just edit it through hgserver hack is not available...

Arghh.. I can edit the account file remotely (by adding any line I wish to add).. BUT IT HAS NO GOOD USE...

imagine you being able to add any line of code into your account file on [insert your favorite server here]. what would you insert? what is useful to insert?

two (not very useful) things i got are;

- I can add "account-character = XX" where XX is any character in the server. When I login to my account I see the character, plus its level and exact experience amount.. but I cannot login. (Slightly useful to see other ppl's level).

- I can block my own account LOL

Hmm I just realized I might be able to change ANY account. That would mean I would be able to change the password of ANY account... now THAT's useful.

Wow!! It actually works! I didn't expected it to work, but somehow the account password doesn't matter in my particular case.

So, this means I can insert any line of text into the account I want. There are two fundamental problems that needs to be addressed first though, before this hack can be used succesfully:

1) I need to know an account name of value (shouldn't be too hard)
2) I need a good line to insert in the account that gives me access.

I came to the conclusion that:

1) I cannot overwrite the old password line. So if I insert an "account-password = x" line, it will either be placed ABOVE or UNDER the old one.

1a) If it is placed ABOVE: I cannot login, the second string overrules the first. (Tested this out on my own server)

1b) If it is placed UNDER: I cannot login, even the old password doesn't work anymore.

I cannot figure out why. Maybe it has something to do with the [PASSWORD] tag above the password?

nope, i cannot remove characters which are already in the file.. only add new ones.
