3.72 Client.. Howto

Well... I know several servers that work with 3.72 client...

I would like to know.. how they do it? I get forced logout right away when I log into my server...

what files they use.. and how they prevent this force logout?

P.S. I have these GoldenBoy China files with MSSQLserver... when I try to log in.. I get into MLserver error: Password or level mismatch... is there something wrong in the database structure?

Well very wierd...i set up a home server with normal files, except the MainlServer 3.72 and with a client 3.72 i connect very good and no problem at all.

I'm beginning to think that all these nemesis and other servers that use 3.72 client.. don't really have SQL base for holding charinfo.. they all work on file system.. because this 3.72 client works fine with file system...

what you mean? well.. if you use 3.51 gateservers and so on.. and your chars are saved in txt files.. then you can log in with 3.72 client.. and you don't get force logout

My guess is that you don't have mssql setup correctly...as i don't have the account and character folders in my setup anymore since they are in sql db now...i'm going to write a tutorial explaining every detail on how to setup sql server so stay tuned..

New problem with that 3.72 client

I noticed that most of windows 98 users gets force logout with this client... anybody knows why and how to resolve this?

What does it has new than the normal 3.51 :rolleyes:
