Common problem with all kind of hosting is self-changing ips. If so log onto your ap(router) and find something like ip-settings/configuration or LAN Clients, often found under advanced. Select/Reserve your internal-ip adress. The External ip adress is assigned by the network provider, phone them :)

u dont need to do that if ppl realy useing there lan ip to play on there srv with a router is dumb. just use the extrnal one like everyone esle an u will be able to conected
Not all routers can tell if you're trying to connect to yourself. Every router I've ever had denies connecting to my own address.. hence why I hate using them.

in gserver.cfg at the line:

gate-server-address =

PUT OUTBOUND!!!!
That's wrong...your supposed to put that as Inbound. I customly configed my files to host behind my router. It's very simple. If anyone needs help on it PM me, or post here.

Click on "Port Forwarding" to the left of you're screen in the Menu it gives you. Forward the ports you see in GateServer.cfg, MLServer.cfg, WLServer.cfg, and GServer.cfg to your internal IP Address.

i always open the hg, then gate, then main, then world, then activate the home key on world then main. that way all sockets are previously loaded and it starts faster.

Do it in this order...

1. Load GateServer.exe.
2. Load MainLogServer.
3. Press Home for MLS.
4. Load WorldLogServer.
5. Press Home on the WLS.
6. Open up GameServers Folder.
7. Load Your Neutral HGServer.
8. Allow it to load.
9. Continue with the rest, Heldenian may crash.

Oops! Thanks for that there Charles. I'm at school so I don't have any of my Configs.

Choouei: I suggest you don't host a server, unless you're willing to update your client everytime you restart your computer. Static IP's are the way to go, it may cost a little more for the static IP, but it's well worth it if you have a decent server with a decent amount of players (50+ is decent imo)
