Prevent Hacking

I have theories of stopping the hacking hgserver... contact me.. or bolex.. because i think hes thinking the same things i am..

if do not respond.. please forgive me.. and sometimes when on i have other things more important to do then play this game.. hopefully you'll catch me at the right time.. so we can experiment my theories.. if they work they may end up blocking hacks..

p.s. - i felt pity for the hb private server community... i didn't want more people to brag about downing a server considering anyone can do it now.. i may infact change my mind later and edit this post... so beware

as for now i feel helpful..

But can't you find the ports....

The way I do it, is use a Firewall, and it asks me for permission, and each time I am shown the Ports.

But all you hosters, you do not need to Up all your servers, because we all know that this does indeed take a lot of memory and you will most likely experience lag.

What I suggest is edit all of your Teleports so that If you enter a Downed map, it simply teleports you back 3 or 4 squares, so you go in circles.

There is only a small amount of people who actually know how to down an HGServer, so most of the 'hacking' population will be stopped dead in their tracks.

But Ideas like tyte's whatever it is, can probably come up with a way to patch or stop the HGServer from connecting.

i tell you what, a quick fix would be blobk port 2848
but i dont think any p serv in there right mind would do that
if they do it there players would have a slight problem playing..

condition: i want to know how to stop the method ppl use to crash hgserver built from 2.24c sources

Good firewall + block access to down maps + ports realocation +(Host behing a router) = 95% of the newb hackers can't do shit
