firewall: kerio firewall (download n' crack)
anti-spyware: spyboy - search and destroy (free)

thats the 2 i use, it never gave me any troubles

tip: never use ad-aware, it dosn't find anything, even if it hit it in the face...

Im running Black Ice defender, ad-ware AND (I repeat) spybots AND PC Optimizer.

ad ware is good... but Black Ice defender2own!

Black Ice = Shit. The Port protection on that is the most bypassed port protection on the planet. I repeat, planet. Even some nerdy 12 year old 3l1t3 h4x0r could bypass black ice.

ad-aware is bad, not say it with me BAD, i know because i use ad-aware for like a year, i did a scan, deleted 23 cookies, nothing else...

1 min later (while i was not on the net) i installed and scanned with spybot, boom, 34 files and 89 regestry keys found...

don't lecture me on these things, i know what i'm talking about...

ad-aware IS good. sent it to a friend who was having lots of un-needed shit and now its running like normal.

Spybot is bad actually, it deletes registries that open ports for your computer. AKA, your modem/router.
