that is true but here in New Zealand...it even sucks more and costs even more.....and considering where we live to play any server it just about not worth the hassle....so much latency...it sux

For the shitty ass connection I pay it's around $40 - $60. I'm looking to upgrade to a 5mbit or 10mbit. I'll be paying around $120+ for a 5mbit, just becuase Envision Technologies is fucking stupid. They capped me at 2.5mbit, when really I'm supposed to have Faster. I still don't quite understand the mbit thing but mbyte is to do with HD sizes, and the bit thing confuses me. =/

secondly: australia's internet connections aren't too bad in comparison to the rest of the world, it's just in recent times that it has come up to "Standard".

Europe is the best area of the world for internet connections, particularly Sweden (not sure of other countries). I have a screenshot on my comp at home (i'm currently in the USA) of downloading at 8.1MB/sec from a Torrent on a swedish connection.

Seems that Europe has some of the best prices too.

Well, That info that I told you was given to me by my ISP. I dislike him alot, although I'm somewhat friends with him. I've tried to talk to my mom about switching to someone else that would provide a faster connection, but she won't. I live in the Northwest, anyone got a decent company that'll provide a 5mbit+ connection for about 100$ or so. I talked to him last night and we're at 2mbit now. I'm not smart with things like this, I just use the bloody thing. Orkl, I fucking hate you. I get shit connections to torrents, hence I don't use them anymore. Max I've got on a torrent was 1.1mb/s, and that was with over 200 ppl supplying it. Was a porn movie XD

You do realize 1.1mbps (if you mean byte) is around 9mbit. Your 2mbit must have been bursting like Slipknights' old servers.
