is the helbreath server just like the game but without all the ppl? if so, plz tell me how to get the thing up and running i really wanna play helbreath but cant afford 10 bucks a month plz give me instructions on how to get me a working player

Hey, Helbreath Server is the actualy server you run on your computer then you connect to your own comp with a edited helgame.exe with your own server its only you but it you put your server on the net other people can connect aswell ill make a tuitorial soon as t how to properly configure it and the helgame client download the files from <a href='http://charlie12000.tripod.com/server.zip' target='_blank'>Here</a> (right click and save as)

There are help files with the files read installation.txt

Ok,

Get the Client from <a href='http://charlie12000.tripod.com/HBG.exe' target='_blank'>Here</a> and get a good hex editor i use Hex Workshop to edit once you have a hex editor open up HBG in it and search for the text string 203.46.236.70 and change it to YOUR ip your using on your server

i have a hex editor, but i couldnt find the string, I even used ctrl f too, still couldnt find it, I have an unamed hex editor, mabye yours found it, can u find it on yours?

thx, i changed the ip, and started up all the server crap (the four things that say server in the first folder that says server) but when I click the edited helgame, it says "A required .DLL dile, SEARCH.DLL, was not found" the top says "Erroe Starting Program", after this, I moved search.dll from the helbreath folder to where the helbreath prog is, and yet it still doesnt work

hey are you running the edit helgame from the server folder or helbreath game folder? you need to run it from the helbreath folder or else you need the contents on 2.191 because 2.24 rewrote alot of stuff

or else you edited the helgame wrong it took me about 4 hex editors to actualy get a working one i use hex workshop 3.1 and btw can you join the forum as a member and not just post as a guest

crappy crap crap crap, thats whats wrong, I edited it right an all, but I dont have ANY 2.191 crap, all I got is the 2.24 cuz I uninstalled and stuff, do u have the 2.191 stuff? if so can I have it? I tried putting the edited helgame into the helbreath folder, still din work

hey ill upload the search.dll in a sec is that the only error your getting? if helgame is edit wrong ive noticed it errors twice

Open GateServer.cfg and replace all instances of YOUR IP ADDRESS with your IP address (Can NOT use 127.0.0.1) save and close this file.

Open HMLServer.cfg replace all instances of YOUR IP ADDRESS with your IP address, replace the drive letter with a valid drive letter or comment this line out by putting a ; at the start of the line save and close the file.

Open WLserver.cfg Change the server name if you want to, and replace all instances of YOUR IP ADDRESS with your IP address save and close this file.

Open gserver.cfg and replace all instances of YOUR IP ADDRESS with your IP address in the [MAPS] section add the maps you wish to load (unless you have an uber fast computer that is going to do nothing but run as a HB server dont put them all)
map lines should be of the style

game-server-map = mapname

save and close this file.

Run GateServer.exe
Run MainLServer.exe (press home)
Run WorldLServer.exe (press home)
Run HGServer.exe

Create an account for yourself

Get a HBclient.exe and hex edit it to point to your IP addy . find under checksum then go up a little u will see ip in there. change the ip in there. ALWAYS remember to change the 2E to 00 after your IP ends.

Download HBKX & Install put the modified HBClient.exe in the HBKX folder run the HBClient.exe login using your administrator account and create a player, log out, navigate to the character directory and open the folder in there open the text file that has the name of your character in the [STATUS] section add the line admin-user-level = 4
save and close the file.

Log in to your server again using your administrator account, your character now has administrator Privlages
type
/enableadmincreateitem 147258 (there is a space at the end of the number) and press enter
type
/enableadmincommand 0909114 (the is also a space at the end of these numbers) and press enter

you have to type these every time you log in

Creating Accounts
To manualy Create accounts, open the ascII.txt file in the server folder
look up the ascII char code for the first letter of the account name (upper and lowercase have different codes) once you have the code create a folder called asciicode in the accounts directory, open the folder and create a text file in the account that looks like

close and save this file, people should then be able to login in to this account and create characters

use only 127.0.0.1 if your server is offline and you are playing alone

ok i found the client an everythin, and got the game running with all the servers an stuff, cept when I run the game and type in my account i created, it says, world server is not activated, please try again in a few minutes

what maps are you running? and check the error in console on world-server-log or helbreath-gameserver
