Even if good coders come and join this project they may never heard about helbreath... so how would they help us updating our client sources ?

This may be a good idea, but maybe we may recruit the coders that are already outpost members (Dax, Drazz, AudioSlave...). Even if some of em are not skilled enough to build a new brand of game, they can help coding the Client and / or HG.

Yeah is good to get more traffic but...advertising to look for some Devs where people doesn't know anything about helbreath seems a lil...weird

Helbreath source hasn't divided it's functions over the classes. This makes it difficult to work with several people at one project..

But at the other hand, new functions and snippets can be posted.. Though it takes time before people get to know this game and both obtain practical and theoretical experience. I doubt anyone would join now sources of better/newer games are around.

Anyway, I doubt things but you guys got my support. :)

If you ask me, we don't really need devs...the community has come together and theres a few skilled ones that can do a nice job.

As you can see...
KLKS
Shetar
Diuuude
snoopy81
Dax

And not that much skilled but still usefull
Treax2
juggalo2

Few others that I can't remember...

Just look up what outpost has become...if you ask me, 1 of most active helbreath communitys for server files related...and pretty good since we have moved from hacks > server files/sources help.

Yep seeing to noob MP I receive, (The only way to help some people would be to take and paste in their current code) ther're only few real coder around.

But the great chalenge is not only coding. Coding is a tool, the bigger chalenge is to improve the gameplay.
And the ultimate goal would be to agree all on a few server models (PvP, highXP/Level/items easy server or longlived lowerXP stats level server hard skilling, or ... ) And to be able to unite ourselves to spawn those servers at the same time with the same banner.

I don't think we are still ready for that... :(

You're Right !

As i can see, most of the long lasting private servers have moderate or low exp / drop / level / stats. Even if we work together on a common source that can gather other server owners / coders, we really don't care about the fuckin' noobs who come on outpost to "steal" some code and run a server for less than a month. They MUST raise all this shit to the max cuz their players have to be max level within a week, or the server will close before they can reach it :-/

@ Snoopy
En plus, après la parution des angels et forcément la publication massive d'un client encore buggy par tous ces noobs en quête de nouveaux joueurs qu'ils ne savent plus comment appater, ça risque d'être une hécatombe chez les noob owners :D
