heres mine so far
just ideas (trying not to change gameplay too much)

-doomsday cmd
object: to destroy all character files and configurations of a server

how it will work: the cmd itself will be placed in a server which its src isnt publicly availiable
in the other servers, this cmd will lie within already existing and working cmds so its less likley
people will go to those cmds. also be very descreat on var names, method names, etc

-db support
if you ever want a huge high perforamnce server(S), its a must

-web support
able to access anything from the web
again, thats where db would come in handy

-test servers
create a char option, lvl 180, full hero, some items etc
non-stop heldinian/sade/apoc one after another

-mass character edit features
if you need to give/edit/delete certain items or what not

-character <-> forum relation
able to post on forums with your character so people always knows whos talking and shit
(idea jacked from wow)

-scripted encounters! (eh, unlikely if you wanna just do true hb style type mang lar)
make bosses harder and people actually have to play a role

-ease of enabling/disabling who can join ares/elv
to balance out pop

i might do the scripted encouters myself just for fun or w/e

I'm sorry not agree here...
- Imagine you enter in a server to join a friend , and ...are ennemies...
- Unbalance comes more often from people stopping to play.
