I know some Visual Basic, which doesn't really matter.

What book would you guys recommend to learn c++ at home?
Right now im using Thinking c++ Volume 2 by Bruce Eckel which you can obtain for free from his website but it's not very good.

Im going to learn c++ at college next year, as i have taken Computer.

I also hear that Helbreaths Coding is not very complex, how much do you think i would have to learn in order to edit some stuff and understand the code in the hb source? I am going to learn it completely not just for HB.

Many thanks.
