Status bar like what? Spell effects? Like when your amp/pfm/etc wears off? Kinda like wow? I'm thinking maybe some party bars for hp/mp displaying? Plenty of room for that now

damn wish this was open source...

Lately games have been sucking. Going for the 'nicer' graphics over the game play. OH WATER HAB REFLECT = axwome gam!!! I've been thinking about making a new MMORPG, at the concept part of it atm. Easiest way would be to strip as many parts of HB as I can (since I've been used to it so long.)

Add a few bells and whistles to your client and you have something real nice there. A moveable/rotateable hotkey bar (0-9) with graphics for spells/skills like lineage 2. Changing the original skin a bit for a nicer feel, maybe even automatically changeable skin for triggered situations. Move Health/Stamina/Mana/EXP bars around. something in the bottom right corner to keep track of your GOLDonHand and hungerStatus.

I don't really know that much dx3d-codoring this would be nice to have. Don't know how much your client can do, nor how to do it. Drawing temporary scorch marks on tiles after a meteor strike? Better weather engine...nicer looking rain, semi transparent clouds scrolling across town? But so far looks like your doing a great job. I'll keep an eye on this thread.

can be dragged, minimilized and other things, programmable hotkeys yet to come.

But these werent included in the hb2 files that were leaked

That hotkey bar is awesome, but a bit big. Seems like it'd be more trouble than it's worth to cover that much of your screen just to see your hotkeys. But the concept is awesome.

Hypno, soz for not open source, but you know what would happen if I did. SOMEONE would take credit, it'd be bashed to pieces, and/or it'd be butchered as it develops. Just the way everything else that's open source now is.

Yes but would be nice idea when 800x600 comes, u dont have to resize ur bottom bar then, just left align the alrdy existing bottom bar with hp and bag all other stuff, and put this skill bar to the right of it

PS: im brining helbreath2.com back up in a few days (or should be a few lol xD)

haha true true. Some of the features looked so promising. I looked forward to some (not so much others like the class system x.x) and then it just disappeared.

Anyway, with this client, I really want to remake the HG too. Dax and I had a thinking session and we thought of dynamic HGs in the Log server that can be loaded with a click of a button in its own separate thread and all. Given it'd have to be very stable, it's a pretty good idea. No more gateserver or anything. Gateserver would turn into a simple function for() loop xD

Dynamically loading so that you can still open/close the hgs like normal. I think I just may attempt it because I already have my logs and now working on the client. It'd be an entire game rebuild at that point ^^

The HG needs more recoding than the client does anyway.
