You can host your own style of server, but be on 1 list of servers, 1 client / 1 updater. multiple servers.

prophecy wont tell u who will host your server / or what you can and not do, but they will ask for your help if needed, prophecy will help whenever needed (programing)-even provide bugless server files and create modifications at your request.

what exactly do you mean? more than one server on one client? can that be done? sorry, im a programming noob. I have played you current server and love it. I have been trying to create my own specifically for when yours crashes, goes down, ect. What ive got going so far isnt bad, but I could sure use some help, so I may be very interested.

basicly program, giving a player of list of servers, they can check the gaminfo, find there style of game and download with that 1 program, and without modifying there hb folder, the program will also have a build in upder the servers can use. so basicly people have a list find the servers of there choice

, and play all of them without messing up there hb folder. and saves (space), u wont have to have multiple hb folders.

this whole thing sounds good in theory. But I have some big issues with it.

1 , I have given you and your GMs a HUGE list of bugs in some of your coding that have never been looked at. Ex. Enchanting. Enchants not enchanting the items they are supposed to. A legs enchant that does boots , or leg enchant that does robes.

2 , I have myself personally tried to contact you through forums , MSN ( which your site lists you as a contact through your MSN for issues ) and your never on nor reply.

If someone was to do this multi client thing with you are you actually going to make yourself available for contact? I have spoken to someone about the server who was from what I was told would be helping you with it and they said they would talk to you and I never heard from them again either.
Joshy came on and said "We are back from our little vacation and things will be fixed soon" when asked he said shouldn't take more than 4-5 days. 2 weeks later I post on your forum I was done with the server due to lackof the owner having anything to do with it and issues and 1 thing is fixed. SORTA.

I am not in any way downing you for what you do or how you do it. BUT if I am gonna put time and effort into helping with things I want to know I am not going to be pulling my hair out for nothing cause people aren't there. I love some of the things you have incorporated into Prophecy and think they could go so much further with the right attention. Who knows maybe a collaboration is needed to achieve this goal.

we.. honestly, im only coder for prophecy, realy everyone else runs the in game, hard to find time to do everything, thats why i wana gather people up who wana do something with hb, and create the best of the hbworld.
acculy i have big plan with hb, yes im working on it and geting there slowly. but i will get there. its been hard for me find desent help, when i do there not always there. i try to acculy keep life outside hb to.

i can help alot servers stuff but ya i do need find a server manager before i do so.

this is just the plan for prophecy what im building to, its not 100% done.
but will happen soon enough.

prophecy is createing hb no one will never see. not only do we modify the game we make it system friendly.

and if u do wana help prophecy get there faster we do have openings

currently looking for someone who can Modify configs, and keep them stable. (someone with a good idea of what is stable and is not for a 180/200 server)

Who would manage the server list? Or would it be something that people can "submit" to and it updates the listing?

You'll have to plan it out well, and think in the mind of a childish noob that wants to fuck everything up. Things will have to be secure, and you'll have to have some sort of protection else people will just distribute worms/trojans/virii/etc. via your auto-updater.

Just something to think about.

servers would be submitted, and all servers would be monitered, to make sure files are clean.

not to rain on your parade, but with all this going on. i don't see anyway of maintaining control of everything. things will get out of hand and people will be overwhelmed at all the problems every server will have, and all the new people that don't know anything will ask tons of questions. you'll need a whole bunch of people that can actually answer questions and have skills to know what to do. imagine you have 10 or more servers and 9/10 are noobs that just want to run a server, and they all run into some problems they can't solve themselves. so they email or contact you with a ton of questions at once or at different times. yes i know that you can possibly handle one at a time and serveral just a few days a week. most will have to wait for help etc etc, but then if they don't recieve it in the time they allocate themselves, what's stopping them from leaving??

they would have to beable to maintain there own server, new mods / and fixs would be when u ask the team for help. we wont totaly 100% run your server, only help some fixes and modifications. if need be will provide u with bugless files.

I foresee failure only because 99% of these servers up are already unable to manage themselves hence failing within the first week or two and/or always begging others for help

as of now I know of 1 server that is trying to participate in this. We have alot up and running already , there is minor tweaks we need to do. Which Marley has already told me he would help fix. ( like I said nothing major drops , and rate , angels stuff easily fixed if you can compile the right files)

I don't think Marley is actually thinking of a mass ammount of servers. I think mainly a few to offer more options. Higher drop rate , exp rate , more for pvp , more for those who don't like pvp , that kind of thing. Which I know he already has a few people who have offered help on them to keep things in order. As far as major issues and bugs Marley will have to help with most of those unless others know how as well. But as far as in game issues we have quite a few who are more than willing to help on that who have been trusted and proved they can be trusted with issues.

if servers keep going they way they are. everyone might as well learn spanish before attempting to play any of them.
