I may be wrong here but i am pretty sure that the client and the MainLogServer both have to be the same version for it to actually work

The error you are getting is because you have closed down the world server and the errors you are seeing are located in the main-log-server screen. When u have all the corresponding ip addresses the same as the hoststers computer(eg:your computer) then when u activate the main-log-in-server will be ...

If its waiting for a response its obvious that his server isnt actually online, but in fact offline, otherwise he would be able to log in.....

or his client is pointed to a different IP than the one his gate is on
